Here you'll learn how to choose the right concept for your stylized character. We'll look at what makes a good reference and how to select a design that is clear and beginner friendly because starting with a strong concept makes the entire character creation process much easier.

This is the most important step of actually being a 3D character artist, so here you will learn to master sculpting 3D characters, going from blocking out the basic forms of your character to sculpting the face, then sculpting the body and finishing it up with sculpting clothign and accessories for your character.

+ Phase 3: You'll learn everything about 3D production-ready topology

You'll learn all the fundamentals you need to know about topology and making production ready topology & I'll teach you exactly what retopology is and why it is important in preparing your character for every other part of the character creation process.

At this stage you'll learn how UV unwrapping works and you'll learn how to properly UV unwrap any character and get your character ready for shading and texturing.

At this stage we are going to replace the sculpted hair we made earlier & take the hairstyle to the next level! I'll show you how to use Blender’s hair grooming tools to create clean and stylized hair for your character.

You'll learn how we can finally start bringing our characters to live with very simple shading and texturing workflows and techniques.

You can use any 3D software you’re comfortable with: Blender, Maya, Marvelous Designer, etc. I’ll mainly be using Blender to showcase my own workflow, and I can provide direct technical support if you're using it too.I’m also familiar with other tools, so you won’t be left hanging if you use a different setup.

+ What if I can't join the live calls one day?

No problem! All calls are recorded and uploaded on your student dashbaord. These recordings will be available to you forever!
